Her father, whom she affectionately called “Papa,” was a hardworking man, often balancing the line between business and family, ensuring his wife and daughter never went without. Mia’s mother, an artistic and free-spirited woman, encouraged Mia to observe and imagine stories about the world around her, a habit that would later become a central part of Mia’s life. During her father’s business trips to France, Mia and her mother would explore the country. Her mother, a photography enthusiast, would capture scenes of bustling markets, quiet cafes, and quaint alleyways, while Mia, inspired by these visuals, spun fictional stories about the people they saw. Her mother encouraged this creativity, emphasizing the importance of seeing “underneath the underneath”—a philosophy that Mia adopted as her own and would later use in her everyday life. With a childhood that was quiet, yet rich in imagination, Mia became adept at sharing details without revealing too much, a skill her mother called “non-disclosure chatter.” This made her appear friendly and approachable while keeping her own intentions subtly hidden. As she got older, Mia’s storytelling became a blend of charm and observation, allowing her to connect with people easily, disarming them with her anecdotes while silently gathering the information she needed. Growing up with both French and American influences has given Mia a multifaceted view of the world. She identifies closely with both, using her French heritage as a charm in social circles, while embracing the ambition and drive common in American culture. She often channels her “French flair” to keep people intrigued of her, switching seamlessly between her American and French sides depending on the company she’s with. Journalism became the foundation on which Mia survived. She ended up meeting her now ex-fiance Hunter De La Cruz while on a job. Hunter’s family was cartel and Hunter wanting out of the dangerous cartel life to better himself, asked Mia for help to weave a story so that he could escape. Eventually, after jumping from city to city, they finally ended up in Polar. ---- ====Personality:==== Mia is often seen as very blunt and straightforward, with a sharp edge that can make her seem mean and she can come off as a bully at first. She doesn’t mince words and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, which can sometimes make her come across as distant or even cold. However, once she lets you in a little bit, it becomes clear that beneath her tough exterior is a kind-hearted and deeply loyal person. Mia's bluntness often stems from her desire to be honest and transparent, and while she may not always sugarcoat things, her intentions are always rooted in sincerity. Loyalty is the cornerstone of Mia's personality. Once she forms a bond with someone, whether in friendship, family, or romance, she is unwavering in her support. Mia is fiercely protective of those she cares about and will go to great lengths to defend them, especially when they are threatened. Mia's mean streak comes from a darker sider of her that emerges when the people she loves and cares for are in danger, but this intensity comes from a place of love and devotion. Despite her sometimes harsh exterior, Mia’s kindness and loyalty shine through once you earn her trust, revealing a person who will do anything to protect and support those she holds dear. ====Recent Events/Updates:==== **1. Burger Shot shooting:** During Mia’s first week at Burger Shot there was a drive by shooting. Mia was in the parking lot when shots were fired. A part of her believes it was Skrt that did the shooting and that it was her fault for slightly antagonizing him on Birdy, and putting her friends at risk. She holds the guilt as her good friend Danno was next to her **2. Molotov Cocktail Incident:** Mia was roommates with Troy when he went and insulted the Gambino Brothers Mother calling her a bitch. Later that night the house was set on fire from a Molotov cocktail thrown at the roof. The incident caused an almost irreparable rift in Mia’s friendship with Troy and she moved out and back into her car for the time being for her own safety. **3. Developing Relationship with Mike Dudley:** After a lot of flirting, Mia entered into a relationship with Mike Dudley. Mia and Mike’s relationship is unfolding at a careful pace, with Mia respecting Mike’s need for space and time to build trust. Her patient and understanding nature contrasts with Mike’s guarded demeanor, but it allows them to connect without rushing things. Mia trusts Mike above all, and this trust only deepens as she learns more about his past. While Mike remains cautious and keeps certain parts of his life hidden, Mia’s warmth and unwavering trust help lay a foundation for their growing connection. She’s committed to letting the relationship develop naturally, valuing their bond and patiently waiting for Mike to open up more over time. **4. Starting Polar Vortex:** Mia, along with Kyle Lamity and Benny Dahl started up Polar Vortex together. They recently obtained a building off of Vespucci Canals. Mia struggles with finding a balance of control and letting her coworkers do as they please. She also is having to balance the lie that she is not with PMZ, which is basically a gossip rag of daily news. **5. Kyle and The Gambinos:** After Kyle accused the casino’s wheel of being rigged on Birdy, the Gambinos vandalized his car, which Kyle got on camera. Kyle, ignoring his safety, than tried to trap the Gambinos at Bahama Mama’s after Krystal let him stay there for protection. Mia, deeply concerned for his safety, tried to stop him by involving the police and Dudley, but this backfired—Kyle felt Mia was still trying to control him. After the Bahama Mama's incident, which Dudley got Gambino to back off from, Kyle drove his vehicle into the casino, enraging Gambino. In retaliation, Gambino went to Kyle’s home and attempted to take him hostage at gunpoint, but the plan failed as Kyle managed to escape with Dudley's help. Mia and Kyle later talked it through. This incident made Mia realize that while her loyalty to those she cares for is unshakeable, her attempts to protect the people she cared for were sometimes overbearing and misinterpreted as controlling.
