====Background====
Danno worked as a cleaner for Rosie Barton, the Brothel Queen of Sydney. He started by cleaning her pubs and restaurants and was eventually promoted to senior cleaner of her more premium establishments. Here, he learned of the darker side of Rosie’s operation: human trafficking. He was required to clean some horrific scenes related to this. After witnessing a particularly bad scene, Danno tried to help some people escape the operation. Unfortunately, they were caught, and while it was not known that he had a hand in it, he had to clean up the mess.  
 
Soon after, Rosie, noticing that Danno was not partaking of the product, suggested he loosen up and handed him a white powder in the hope he would indulge, providing more profit for her. Not wanting to disappoint his boss, Danno obliged.

What followed was a drug-induced blackout. He woke up in bed with a man he had seen at the brothel many times and later recognized as James Collins, the Deputy Commissioner of police. James told Danno he needed to leave, as his wife would be home soon. As Danno was putting on his clothes, the wife entered—and she was none other than Rosie. Furious, Rosie told Danno he was as good as dead, that he would never work in Sydney again, and to get out of her sight.

As the days unfolded, it turned out that Rosie had called for Danno’s head and was using her husband’s position of power to find him. Danno’s dad arranged for him to leave the city for Polar City to help his aunt, who, unbeknownst to anyone, was enjoying the jet-setting life and leaving her house vacant.

Upon reaching Polar City, Danno went to Burger Shot in hopes of getting a job. Mike Dudley took him on and trained him to become the owner of Burger Shot. Mike and Danno quickly became friends, and trust between the two grew a lot.

===Davey Samson===
Danno was kidnapped by Davey Samson after Davey believed he was kidnapped by Danno and Winters. When confronting Danno about this Davey asked “who else has a British accent” . Davey also forced Danno to take crack by threatening the life of his then manager Troy Hawkins.
Since this incident Danno has been dealing with his very public Trauma
===Skrt and Yellowhand===
Skrt and Yellowhand took Danno from Burger Shot (willingly at first) to interrogate him (and possibly dissect him) to find information about the zooman invasion. He was stopped from exiting the vehicle and was forced to engage with their nonsensical conversation. Eventually he talked them into them giving him a car in return for silence. This was silence he never intended to give as they had been tormenting his friends Benny and Krystal. He gave the information straight to Mattis and later testified in court, creating beef between him and Skrt. 
===Troy===
Troy Hawkins was one of Danno’s first hires at Burger Shot and was instrumental in keeping the shop running while Danno was kidnapped. Danno had been keeping an eye out for Troy as he wanted to protect him from the dangers in the city. Troy’s propensity for saying inflammatory things at people they should not be said at started to become a problem, and he was let go.
