After the Bahama Mama's incident, which Dudley got Gambino to back off from, Kyle drove his vehicle into the casino, enraging Gambino. In retaliation, Gambino went to Kyle’s home and attempted to take him hostage at gunpoint, but the plan failed as Kyle managed to escape with Dudley's help. Mia and Kyle later talked it through. This incident made Mia realize that while her loyalty to those she cares for is unshakeable, her attempts to protect the people she cared for were sometimes overbearing and misinterpreted as controlling.
